I entered this image into 2009 Aaron Brother’s – Show Us Your America contest where I was distinguished as a Featured Artist.
At that time, this is what I had written:
"Dedicated to the men and women who have selflessly put their lives at risk to serve us. Hanging anxiously, ready and waiting, you’ll notice the bright evening sun casting over the coats of our local heroes. This photograph was captured outside of the local Fire Station #6 in the heart of the industrial Port of Tacoma."
On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, I post this image in honor of our selfless heroes.
